Union Cement Company (UCC) is the first cement producer established in the United Arab Emirates. The journey started in 1972 when the first plant was set up in the Khor Khwair Industrial Area. It was inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1973. Two years after, in 1975, the first line was commissioned.

We are committed to provide products of the highest standard. Union Cement Company was the first cement manufacturer in the Middle East, to have obtained the ISO and API certifications. Our products have been used in several prestigious projects in the UAE. We are one of the leading exporters of cement and clinker with the option of different packing modes to adapt to customer needs. At present we export to the Markets in Gulf, Middle East, East Africa and Asia.

We are a socially responsible organisation that gives equal importance to upliftment of Emiratis as a community and adapting sustainable ways of doing business. We partner with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization to support their initiatives, conduct summer programs for school students, work towards infrastructure development and contribute in celebration of national festivals. We are also focused on changing our manufacturing practices to find sustainable alternatives to minimise consumption of non-renewable resources.

Founded in 1972 in the heart of Khor Khwair Industrial Area, Ras Al Khaimah, Union Cement Company holds the distinction of being the UAE’s first cement producer. Inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the visionary founder of the United Arab Emirates just months after nation’s formation, Union Cement embarked on a mission to support the UAE’s rapid growth.
